Good Morning BullBuzzers!
"Politics sets the headline. Earnings set the price."
⚡TODAY IN 10 SECONDS
Democrats won the House and Senate, flipping seven Republican Senate seats, and futures are up after an early AI-policy scare, with solar and health insurers rising while defense and power producers fall.
Our idea is Universal Health Services ($UHS), with ADP at 8:15 and ISM Services at 10:00.

FOCUS OF THE DAY
Secret #5: Trade The Theme, Not The Ticker
Democrats took the House and Senate overnight, and futures first dropped, then recovered, because the market was never voting for a party. It was pricing themes. Solar and health insurers rose on expected policy support, while defense, AI power, and Trump-linked names fell on budget and scrutiny risk.
Nothing changes until the new Congress convenes in January and Trump keeps his veto, so these moves are expectations, not earnings. Ask which themes a result helps or hurts, then buy the leaders only after they hold their gains.

📰 HEADLINES
Democrats win the House and Senate. They flipped seven Republican Senate seats, including Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, Maine and Iowa, and Hakeem Jeffries is poised to become Speaker. Alaska and Mississippi were called early Wednesday.

Futures rebound after an AI-policy scare. They slid on fears that Democrats could slow AI spending, then recovered as investors noted nothing changes until January. S&P futures are up roughly 0.4% to 1%, and the Dow is up 0.8% to 1.5%.

Solar and insurers jump; defense and AI power slide. First Solar, Enphase, Molina and HCA rose on expected policy support, while Northrop Grumman, Lockheed and Vistra fell on budget and data-center worries. Trump Media lost about 11% pre-market.

AMD jumps on a 2027 growth forecast. CEO Lisa Su projected revenue growth above 80% versus about 77% expected, and shares rose roughly 7% after hours despite a $1 billion non-cash warrant charge. Nvidia, Intel, and Broadcom also rose.

Yields slip and gold tops $4,000. The 10-year fell about 6 basis points to roughly 4.9%, and the dollar index fell 0.3% as investors expect less fiscal stimulus from a divided Congress. Brent held near $104 on Iran uncertainty.

🎯 IDEA OF THE DAY

Universal Health Services runs acute-care hospitals and behavioral-health facilities across the U.S. and the U.K.
Analysts expect a Democratic Congress to favor health spending, and hospital operators earn more when fewer patients are uninsured. UHS slid about 7% after its third-quarter report, so it offers a cleaner entry than chasing the insurers that already jumped.
Policy will not change before January, and BNP Paribas doubts Democrats can restore major parts of the Affordable Care Act. The zone sits below the roughly $184 pre-market price and may not fill. Next earnings are expected late February, outside the window.

🔔 HEADING INTO THE OPEN
Bird's-Eye: Divided government usually means fewer surprises, and the S&P 500 rose through year-end in five of eight midterm cycles since 1930 when the president's party lost the House. Still, do not buy the whole gap. Hold half size through the first 30 minutes, because nothing changes before January.
Ground Level: Winners and losers are expectations, not earnings. Buy pullbacks in $XLV and $XLI instead of chasing pre-market spikes in solar and insurers, and skip new defense longs until budget talks show a number. Treat Tesla and Trump Media as headline trades.
Under The Hood: ADP lands at 8:15 and ISM Services at 10:00 (forecast 54.8 versus 54.9), then Arm and Qualcomm report tonight and jobs follow Friday. A hot ISM revives the December hike bet near 79%, so tighten stops on rate-sensitive longs. A soft one helps the 10-year stay under 5%.

Frontier models perform better in Attio’s agent harness.
We gave GPT-6 Astra the same job twice: analyze 100 sales calls and draft the follow-ups, once in Ask Attio and once in ChatGPT.
Ask Attio finished in 4 minutes 49 seconds. ChatGPT took 26 minutes 11 seconds, about 5.4 times as long.
The most ambitious GTM work requires more than frontier intelligence. It requires architecture that can put that intelligence to work at scale.
